The 2025 BMW X5, part of the fourth generation, brings exciting updates and advanced features. This midsize, two-row crossover SUV has seen several mid-generation enhancements, and the 2025 model introduces even more, including the innovative hands-free Highway Assist feature. This advanced technology enables drivers to change lanes by simply looking at the appropriate side mirror after activating the blinker.
The BMW X5's exterior design remains consistent with the 2024 model. It features a tall profile with a gently sloping roof and a raked rear that enhances cargo space. An angled crease above the door contouring accentuates the rear fender. The iconic BMW kidney grille boasts a distinctive double-bar design with slightly pointed corners, while the lower fascia includes angled, upright accent bars. The sleek, tapered headlights have pointed LED designs with tall, C-shaped air intakes below.
Three powertrains are available for the 2025 BMW X5: an inline-six turbo generating 375 horsepower, a twin-turbo V8 producing 523 horsepower, and a plug-in hybrid system delivering 483 horsepower. All three options come with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
In addition to the new Highway Assist feature, the 2025 X5 retains many features from the previous year.
