The Consumer Electronics Show is coming to an end today, and one company in attendance just happens to have been BMW with their electrifying BMW i3. You can recall our last blog post where we sang its praises, and today is no different. The only difference is we have a video of four people getting a firsthand look at the great features being executed.
Two couples were selected to partake in a test drive of the i3, and they were stunned to discover what this car could do. One couple was blindfolded and given the chance to drive around to see how the car detected obstacles in its path or too near the vehicle. Even the blind spots are covered, because the car has a 360° sensor. The second couple saw how at the touch of a button, this technology was put to use to park the car. Yes, the car does it for you, meaning no more aimless driving searching for a spot (and passing up an awesome spot because it's parallel ...), how exciting is that?
We can see how this car would be a great fit for just about any person, but do you think it would take some getting used to? Giving up control might be a little out of the norm for some people, do you think you'd be able to relinquish control?
