This same engine is available with a plug-in hybrid system, generating 288 horsepower with an all-electric range of 22 miles. Another option for the 3 Series is a mild-hybrid turbo V6 system producing 382 horsepower. The 2024 5 Series has two engine options. Its base-level powertrain is identical to the 255-horsepower system available with the 3 Series. The alternative is a 375-horsepower, mild-hybrid, turbo V6 system.

Appearance

The athletic yet refined style of the 3 Series remains unchanged in 2024. The nose has a standout look with a dramatically sloped hood and a short, wide grille. This grille pairs with pointed headlights dressed up with two curved LED light elements. Below the headlights, the L-shaped air intakes sit at an angle. The 5 Series has a fresh look for 2024.
