For sophisticated drivers in Atlanta who need the utility of an all-electric SUV without sacrificing luxury and refinement on the road, the BMW iX is a leading contender. This two-row SUV debuted in 2022 and immediately captured the attention of performance-motivated buyers. Since that time, BMW has made several updates to elevate the iX's appeal. For the 2026 model year, the trim options have expanded. This year's trims are the xDrive45, the xDrive60 and the M70. In addition to this important change, the iX features updated engineering and a refreshed look.
Each of the 2026 iX's trim levels offer a different motor system with variations in horsepower and battery range. The iX M70 has a range of up to 303 miles and delivers 650 horsepower. It comes with upgrades like rear-wheel steering and an adjustable air suspension system. The xDrive60 produces 536 horsepower with a range of up to 3640 miles. The xDrive45 gives you 402 horsepower with mid-level battery range. All trim levels have standard all-wheel drive.
The new look of the 2026 iX is strongly established by its new front-end styling. The tall grille takes center stage on the SUV's nose and spans from top to bottom. Its kidney-style shape is unique with sharp corners and diagonal pinstripes through the center. The headlights are equally modern with two angled LED wedges. Below the headlights, the bold air inlets stand tall and flare dramatically. The rear haunches are smoothly molded while the front fenders have flush, crisp definition.
Inside the 2026 iX, you will find a heated and hexagonal steering wheel, heated seats with integrated speakers in the front row, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, a panoramic sunroof, a 14.9-inch infotainment system screen with a voice assistant, a wireless internet hotspot, a curved panel for the driver's digital instruments, hands-free driving and wireless smartphone connections. The upholstery options are premium leather, faux leather, and Loft microfiber cloth. Safety features include adaptive cruise control, parking sensors, auto emergency braking, a lane departure warning, and lane keeping.
