The 2017 BMW 5 Series builds on the last big refresh by adding more muscle, (even) better performance and a big technology update, says auto writer Alex Goy in a new review for CNET's Roadshow. Goy tested the 535i Gran Turismo, which is a slightly elongated version of the regular 535i, providing more rear legroom for passengers and 63.6 cubic feet of storage.
640 × 480

The 2017 is powered by 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 that makes 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. It gets from 0-60 mph in a tad over 5.0 seconds. As visually stunning as the 535i is from afar, the view from inside is just as jaw-dropping, thanks to huge, wide windshield, expansive side windows and a panoramic moonroof that's perfect for gazing at the stars or soaking up the sun.
